Subject Direct dealing in Hanyang apartment

Every Wednesday and Thursday, in the center of HanYang apartment-house complex, there has been opening direct dealing market. It’s progressing with quite big scale which is enough for residents to buy what they want. The seller is from gangwondo and sells almost every kinds of vegetables such as corns, potatoes, carrots, cabbages, young pumpkins, cucumbers, onions, green onions, sweet potatoes, garlics, and more. He comes with a truck containing those vegetables and settle down in front of the main playground inside the housing area. Usually ma’ams are main consumers and during the daytime most of vegetables are sold.
I’ve asked some of consumers who are buying regularly from there, what are the benefits of buying direct dealing instead of going to normal markets. According to them, first, the quality of vegetables are much higher compare to other ordinary products from ordinary market. Because they use less or no agricultural pesticide and actually the farm is private farm, not that of a company so the products are managed more higienic and carefully. To add, They are so fresh that they can stay in refrigerator one and half times than the periods of usual vegetables can stay in fridge or storage.
Second, the prices are very reasonable. Because the seller directly comes to selling place and do not sell through middle company distuributing them, the price could be cheaper indeed. Particularly periods like nowadays, having high price, these shape of market could be alternative to both producers and customers. I hope markets like this are activated a lot more so that can help developing local economy.
