Gangdong-gu helds the 22th Gangdong prehistoric culture festival
On October 13th to 15th, Gangdong Prehistoric Culture Festival is held to celebrate the historically valued prehistoric sites. This year is the 22th anniversary of Gangdong Prehistoric Culture Festival. Each year thousands of visitors come to celebrate this. Since this is the only festival whose theme is prehistoric times, its honorable for the history and identity. Receiving Pinaacle Awards for 4 continuous years, it has been acknowledged for its creativity and excellence.
This year, many attractions are prepared at Gangdong Prehistoric Culture Festival, dreaming of jumping as the world-wide festival. On the first day(13th of October), Pungmul band(Traditional Korean band only consisting of Korean instruments) is performing(14:50), Gangdong citizen festival(16:00), and Children play ‘blue marble’, lighting ceremony, wishing for this site to be designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site are programs available.
The opening ceremony will start at 8p.m. with the theme performance called ‘musical with people’. The Kun from UP10TION would be staring as boy character. There are also celebrating performances of other singers.
On the second day there is a parade ‘adventuring the prehistoric road’ with dinosaur sculptures. Also, there will be the performance of DJ KOO.
On the last day(15th October) There will be prehistoric food made of acorn available for people who comes to the festival. Singer Yoon Do-hyeon and Hong Kyeong-min will perform.
Furthermore, you can enjoy BBQ and pottery making during the festival. Not only children but also the entire family can enjoy this festival together as one.
