Gangdong-gu office(Mayor Lee Hae-sik) announced on September 22th that the distric office will hold '2017 Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities for disabled people Hanmaeum Sporting Event' at the Tongmyong Neighborhood Park in Godeok-dong, Gangdong-gu on this 26th. According to the Gangdong-gu official, the 5th Athletic Meeting will be held under the auspices of the district office and Korea Association of the Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities for the disabled Seoul Metropolitan Association Gangdong-gu Branch and will be sponsored by the Social Welfare Community Chest of Seoul and the Bondosilag which is a lunch special쇼 company. The vocational rehabilitation Facility for disabled person is the facility which provides the disabled with the work experience and job opportunities that match their abilities and aptitudes. There are a total of 12 facilities in Gangdong-gu. About 500 people including vocational rehabilitation workers, disabled people, their families and officials will attend in the event. Participants will be divided into two teams to play the various games such as two-person relay, parachute running and ballooning. The official of Gangdong-gu said, "I hope that this athletic contest contributes to the health promotion of disabled people with work disabilities who are working hard for vocational rehabilitation by sweat of beads. This athletic contest will give us the opportunity to communicate and harmonize with each other. And through this athletic event, we hope that we will be able to better understand the situation of people with disabilities and their families.
