“The Modern! Let's go back to Prehistory and space out!” It's a PR praise for the Space Out Competition at Amsa Prehistoric Residence. Space Out Competition was first started in 2015, by WoopsYang Production. At this competition, the participants compete for spacing out. Participants are of course evaluated by judges, with specific scoring criteria. They check who maintained the most stable condition and expression. Also, heart rate is checked to cherry-pick who was in the most peaceful state. Some behaviour, which are considered as not necessary for spacing out, and some of which are not in the course of spacing out work, are banned; like checking mobile phone, dozing, and so on. For the winner, prize and golden colored trophy, which is shaped as Rodin's famous sculpture, The Thinker, is given. Also, they can get the qualification for participating the international space out competition. Previously, it had been issue as popular Korean rapper Crush won the first prize at 2016 competition. Since 2014, four times of international competitions, and three local competitions have been held. So now, competition at Amsa would be the fourth local competition. In fact, the competition is a kind of visual art and performance art. According to the introduction by WoopsYang company, this contest delivers the idea that doing nothing is valuable by juxtaposing spacing out people's feature with busy people in the same city. Also, participants express their way of life by doing nothing - spacing out. Likewise, the main concept for Amsa competition is that make the hard-working brain rest, and peaceful with busy people, and exhausted students at the peaceful, prehistoric site. Amsa Prehistory Festival is one of the most biggest and popular festival in Gangdong. The 21th Festival of 2017 is scheduled on October 13th (Fri) to 15th (Sun).
