Recruiting the 2nd ‘Gangdong District Student Representative’
Working as representative of children and teenagers, such as proposing new policies : application till 14th of September

Our district is recruiting members that will participate in ‘The 2nd Gangdong District Student Council’ till 14th of September. Those teenagers aging from 9 to 18, living in or studying in our district can apply for this, and potential candidates will run on election campaign from 9.18 to 10.18, either in online or in offline. Voters are 41,035 teenagers.
The whole process of this election will be managed by 1st Student Representative who do not run for the 2nd Election and members of Student Council in regional middle and high school. The election will be held on 20th of October, which will elect 25 new representatives. Moreover 10 more people from the minority class (such as multi-cultural family) will be also elected, forming 35 student representatives.
When elected for student representative, the certificate and the badge will be given to those who are elected, and have the right to take part in several ability-strengthening-education for a year, such as legislative procedure, discussion method, and conference processing procedure. In addition, they can also work on several activities, such as policy proposal thorough discussion, students participatory budgeting, and legislative activity. In particular, from this year these kinds of activities will be added in student record as Regional Activities Participation.
Those who want to run for the election should download the application form from Gangdong District Homepage, then send to e-mail (noppy@gd.go.kr) or by registered mail (Gangdong District Seongnaero 25, Gangdong District Office Senior-Childhood-Teenager Sector) till 6pm, 14th of September.
