Subject Making biodiesel out of sunflower seed, Gang dong gu elementary experience farm

Starting from the November 7th, for 3 weeks , Seoul Gang dong gu is operating the eco friendly bio energy experience farm where you can make the bio diesel which is a green energy by your own by utilizing the sun flower seed. Bio diesel is a nonpolluting fuel is made of vegetable fuel such as soy bean oil, rape oil, waste food oil. It is mostly used in the diesel car for the car’s fuel or the car’s waypoint additive.
Every year the Gang dong gu plants the sun flower seeds at the farm in the Am san dong and teaches the kid utilizing the sun flower seed. For one month in November, they choose 10 classes of the grade 4th in the Gang dong gu among the schools that made an application for it. In the class the instructor explains about the sun flower seed and then shows them how to extract oil by pressing it hard, and of course the students can experience it too. Other than this the students can experience various of programs such as boiling egg using the solar cooker, turning the light bulb on, putting on the solar cell fan, making the solar model car, etc. also the animal breeding ground which is made inside the farm provides the extra chance for them to communicate with the animal and enjoying the natural therapy. Opened in 2010 for the first time in Korea, they are getting continuous love and interest from the local citizens because they can learn the importance of the environment by having an unique experience that they can not easily have in the normal life. Lee hae shick the head district office of the Gang dong gu said “ We would like to increase the education experience chances for the students by utilizing the resource out of the school by the school and Gang dong gu’s cooperation and we would like to raise the human resources by giving them these experience. I hope many students participate.”
