Changed to Tourist Attraction by Urban Regeneration Seoul Gang dong-gu wins the great price at “2017 national Menifesto contest” by urban regeneration. Gang dong-gu partaker said that “By presenting Seongnae 2dong Seongan town’s regenerating business at this contest, which had been proceeded at Dankook University for last 9-10 two days, we won the great price” and said “It is meaningful we’ve been selected among 325 of pledges from national primary local authorities.” This contest was co-sponsored by Korea Menifesto operation headquarters and Chungnam researchers. Seongan town was one of the lagged behind old down towns. But, in 2013, when Gang dong-gu promoted “Gangpul comic-street”, it was changed into popular tourist attractions that ten thousand people visit annually. Later, community facilities “Seonglons’s house” which was named after character of one of the Gangpul writer’s webtoon “Idiot” opened in Gangpul comic-street. Also, Webfoot octopus specialized street and Seongnae general market which are located in vicinity of Gangpul comic-street make synergy effects by redecorating fitted with their location’s trait. By this way, this place become a new street which many people love to visit. It’s not the first time that Gang dong-gu won the price. Every year Gang dong-gu won the great price by “Stray cat meal service” and “Revitalizing eco-urban agricultural” Gangdong-gu head chair Lee Haesik said “ By Menifesto contest, we’ve made synergy effect by sharing and comparing good business with many autonomous communities.
