"No one likes me. :( Dark, grey and concrete face, uncanny smells and atmosphere. These are why no one comes anywhere near me." -OO-dong's resident, Mr. Underground Walkway There's a place where completely washed away that stereotype we had on underground walkways! The abnormal underground walkway covered with art and cultrue, is the Gandong's "Cheonho Underground Walkway". How did an underground walkway become "a place to linger on"? The Chenoho underground walkway (Cheonho-daero 1033) is a very appreciated road connecting Seongnae-dong's Jjuccumi Alley and the Chenho Rodeo Street. However, the facility aged, causing people to avoid it and also disconnecting the Seongnae-Cheonho's Interlinked Market. Gangdong teamed up with it's residents to bring life and completely transformed the walkway to the art-cultrual hub! Since april, last year, we had 6 villager conference for 3 months, 113 local merchants and the walkway users' ideas were also considered for the improvement. With the residency fund of 200 million wons, the walkway became safe and clean with ! Crime prevention through environmental design(CEPTED) But how different did the walkway become? The Entrance Walk along the 오르樂내리樂(Or-lak Naeri-lak) yellow sign and you'll see the 'Gangdong Sketch'. Colorful drawings on a white background, Artist Gang-Pul's comic sketch is especially eye-catching! Gangdong Sketch Grey, colorless wall became enjoyable with contents like Gangdong Sketch, the history of Gangdong, the Gangdong streets, and also a shelter to rest. You can sit down and enjoy too! In other words, this place became a cultural gallery! the Culture Gallery consists of two areas. The display, and the show. The display consists of 'Project Culture Gallery', capable of holding up to 40 large displays, and 'small gallery', literally, a small gallery, waiting for many masterpieces! Small stage The show is called 'a small stage', with a piano. Anyone can utilize the piano too. Just for fun. Also, the show can be lent to residents wishing to do shows, or displays. Utilize the show to propse to your beloved ones maybe? The Exit Environmental Design is important. it changes the lifestyle, and the spirit that inhabits in it.
