Subject Gwangjin bridge Festival

Starting August 26 3p. m., Gang dong-gu, with Gwang jin-gu hosts “Gwangjin bridge festival’, which is center for cultural harmony between Gang dong-gu and Gwang jin-gu’s citizens.

The festival, started based on story of “Gyeon woo and Jik nye”, was planned for the purpose of Gang dong-gu and Gwang-jin gu’s citizens’ meeting each other, conciliating, and making cultural harmony on the Gwang-jin bridge.

The festival, starting at 3pm with ‘youth festival’, where Gang dong and Gwang jin-gu’s youngsters can show their talent, will contain various programs such as ▲various exhibitions and experience booths ▲Art, free market ▲on-bridge romantic restaurant, food truck zone ▲busking performance ▲water gun game ▲flying kite.

Following this, at 6pm, the main event of the festival, “Gang dong-gu & Gwang jin-gu citizens’ tug-of-war” will take place. It will be held following Dang jin-gun’s Gijisi tug-of-war form, and 1000(500 per gu) representative players will join the game.

Besides this, various performance such as singer Hong jin-gyeong’s celebration performance will take place.

On the other hand, for the sake of smooth festival operation, Gwangjin bridge’s traffic will be controlled, so drivers must make a detour.

An officer said “I hope this year’s festival will be the good chance for both citizens from Gang dong-gu and Gwang jin-gu to communicate and get along with each other. Also, through this exotic festival, which is held on the ‘bridge’, I hope this festival will be exotic experience for every citizen joining the festival.”
