Gangdong-gu is looking for participants for “The 20th Isimjeonsim Happiness Project”. The “Isimjeonsim Happiness Project” was made to offer international marriage migrant women a chance to gain access to various information and experiences, so that they could more contentedly and stably adapt to our community. The career experience and education will be conducted in a total of 4 sessions, taking place at the Gangdong-gu Office Auditorium (5th floor) and other alternative experience facilities. The specific contents of the career experience/education programs are: - Craft classes for making useful everyday objects (Self interior; Tuesday 9/5, 2~4 pm) - Multicultural cooking class (Nabak Kimchi ∙ Yeongyang Gangjeong ∙ Yak-bab; Tuesday 9/12, 2~4:30 pm) (※Nabak Kimchi: watery kimchi made of sliced radishes/ Yeongyang Gangjeong: fried glutinous rice crackers with sesame or beans/ Yak-bab: flavored glutinous rice mixed with honey, dates, chestnuts, etc.) - Visiting the Korean Furniture Museum (Korean traditional furniture, brassware, etc. ; Tuesday 9/19, 9 am~5 pm) - Reading with My Mom and Dad (How to manage your child’s reading ∙ making my child’s dream book; Thursday 9/28, 2~4 pm) (※Schedules may fluctuate) The Project is looking forward to the participation of many international marriage immigrants, and believes that the programs will give the participants a chance to learn Korean culture and interact with each other. The Isim Jeonsim Happiness Project is recieving a total of 40 participants. Registrations can be made by calling or visiting the Gangdong Office of Gender Equality and Family (여성가족과) or the Multicultural Family Support Center (다문화가정지원센터/☎ 02-473-4986) from 8/7~8/31. |
