Subject Eulji practice for the strong security of Korea

Gangdong-gu(District Chief Lee Yong-sik) held various security ceremonies such as a situation briefing session and a food tasting of emergency food supply for an enhancement of residents' sense of national security from 8.21 to 8.23.
From 21st day which is the first day of 2017 Eulji practice to 23rd day, the situation briefing session will be held at Gangdong-gu Office underground all-source situation room at 2,5, and 8 o'clock every day.
As a part of this practice, diverse events like a food tasting of emergency food supply, an actual training of fire and damp, an exhibition of military equipment, a security experience for teenagers, and a photo exhibition of history distortions will be held.
Especially, a food tasting of emergency food supply for indirect experience of the Korean War will be open at Cheonho Station at 21st day. Through this event which shares Jumeok-bap, steamed potatoes and sweet potatoes, which are prepared by Gangdong-gu conference of bankbook and Saemaeul women’s society, with residents, we will be able to meditate on a painful history of the Korean War and an importance of national security.
Also, at 22nd day, the actual experience about Amsa Arisu water purification center’s fire and exposure of toxic gas according to provocation of a long-range artillery fire from an enemy will be conducted. For this training, Gangdong-gu Office (Health Center), Gangdong Police Office, Gangdong Fire Station, The 1st Battalion the No.21, Amsa Arisu water purification center, Gangdong Songpa Branch, Gangdong Kyunghee University Hospital, members of civil defense and townies will participate.
Not only these, but there will be a speech about security (Safety) by the public official, an experience of security, and a photo exhibition of history distortions of Dokdo and Japan. Also, we will give an opportunity of visiting the situation room and experiencing military equipment goods and security.
An office authority said “The Eulji practice this time is an important event since it can establish a national emergency preparedness through a practice or etc. and prove an effectiveness of a Chungmu plan. We prepare varied events and experiences for not only officials but also residents’ improvement of an ability to react about an awareness of national security and a state of emergency. So, we hope residents’ interest and participation.”
