Subject Gangdong-gu's '맘·맘 상담사' project

Are you having a rough time of inward troubles? Are you worrying about your child yourself? ‘맘·맘 상담사(Mom·Mom Counsellor)’ will always give you a helping hand!
Students and parents who are residents of Gangdong-gu can get specialized counseling and advice about school life and child problem at every community service center in the area. Counsellors who can advise children professionally with their worries and problems are going to visit each community service center every week.

August 1st, Gangdong-gu is executing ‘맘·맘 상담사(Mom·Mom Counsellor)’project for the first in the whole country. ‘맘·맘 상담사’ undertaking is a counseling service to look after parents’ and children’s minds. ‘맘·맘’ is a brand-name which came from combining ‘mom’, meaning for mothers, and abbreviation of ‘마음(mind)’, so which also can be pronounced as ‘맘(mom)’. Parents and teenagers who are residents of the Gangdong-gu area are able to get specialized counseling promptly at close-by community service center without separate procedures. Also, offering ‘맘·맘 상담사’ service when visiting families with children is being planned regarding ‘찾아가는 동주민센터(community service center Outreach project)’. Counseling is available at the appointed time at nearby community service center, and you can contact the Gu Education Support Division(3425-5218~9) with any questions. Lee Hae Sik, the head of the Gu, has good hopes toward this project and said, “I think taking care of minds for children’s happy childhood is the very basic thing for caring community. ‘맘·맘 상담사 will play a role as a window that resolves students’ and children’s inward worries and parents’ child problems.”
