Subject Gangdong Art Center makes us live a civilized life!

Gangdong Art Center is located in Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. Since it opened in 2011, it becomes an area for the cultural arts where the local residents can enjoy. In Gangdong Art Center, there are lots of musicals, classical concerts, dance performances and so on. And it also has Community Participation Programs, academies for education and outdoor music festivals.

And I'm going to introduce some programs which are going along. First one is for the teenagers. It is the summer music festival for the youth. It opens every year in August at the grand theater 'Han-gang' in Gangdong Art Center. This year it opens at August 3rd to 5th. There will be performances by 'Karostar instrument ensemble', 'Seoul city traditional orchestra', 'Korea pops orchestra'.

Seconly, there will be a public performance in Korea by national ballet company from Saint Petersburg. The theme is 'the sleeping beauty'. Its specialty is that it's not a normal ballet performance but the ballerinas are dancing on the ice. The performance is to be on August 10th to 11th, 2017. The performance place is also the grand theater 'Han-gang' in Gangdong Art Center.

At last, it is the National Geographic photo exhibition . The exhibition is in 'special exhibition hall'. In hall 1, the theme is 'history of National Geographic'. And in hall 2, the theme is 'mystery of ancient civilization'. The theme of Hall 3 is 'mystery of the universe'. The next one's theme is 'mystery of the wild'. And the last one is 'mystery of the water world'. This exhibition opens on from June 23rd to October 29th.
