Subject Hangbok Plus that helps disabled people opens again

Gangdong-Gu opens 4th Hangbok Plus store at sharing place2

Gangdong-Gu works hard to prepare basis for disabled people’s self-reliance. In June 23rd Gangdong-Gu said that they are going to open ‘4th Hangbok Plus Store’(Picture) at Ganngdong-Gu sharing place2 in Seongnae-lo which will be completed in September. Hangbok Plus store is a café which sells coffee made by baristas who are with disabilities. It also sells some red clay-salt, soap, detergent, and shell craft items that are made at disabled people’ rehabilitation facility. Opening the 1st store at Amsa-2dong community service center, Gangdong has been managing three Hangbok Plus Store, 2nd store at King Onjo Culture and Sports Center and 3rd at Amas-dong historic site. 6 disability people who are working in the three places are showing their talents at the store after they got certificate through 2 years of barista course from disable people’ vocation school. And this is a really good opportunity for disabled people.

Gangdong-Gu is openly recruiting a private businessman who will be able to manage on 4th store from June 26th to July 7th for two weeks. It is for social welfare foundation and nonprofit coporation that are able to manage the institutes for the disabled. Lee Haesik the chief of Gangdong-Gu said that “The 1st store recorded 56 million won sale price last year and is playing big role in creating disabled people’ vocations.” And also said that he would extend the Hangbok store to make much stronger base for disabled people’ self-reliance.
