Gangdong-Gu is performing 'Visiting Library 따수다' program, which students and authors meet to chat, at 20 elementary, middle, high schools from June. 'Visiting Library 따수다' is part of the 2017 Innovative Education service, and it is a reading education program made to promote school culture that students read, think, and debate by themselves. It showed high satisfaction rate from total 5 middle and high schools last year, so this year it is also expanded to elementary schools and total 20 schools will participate. As a result, they will write books for elementary students and authors with sufficient teaching experience will participate in it. Author Seongmi-Lee of 'Bookworm teacher's very special library', author Gyeongsil-Ro of 'Talmud for children', 'Studtying humanities by slow reading', and author Minseong-Choi of 'Easy humanities for teenagers' were invited. Interesting courses, Q&A, and photo time are receiving positive responses from elementary, middle, high school students who can't meet authors easily. Haesik-Lee, the head of Gangdong-gu, said 'Visiting Library 따수다' will promote ideal reading culture, attain reading desire of growing students, and provide the base for self development by education program that activates book discussion. |
