Gangdong-gu: Get a regular inspection for your vehicle!

- A regular (complete) inspection of vehicle, compulsory for protecting lives and property of people.

 Gangdong-gu (Head: Lee Soo-hee) announced the effort to promote regular (complete) inspections for vehicle-owning residents who had not received the compulsory inspection yet.

 The regular (complete) inspection is mandatory for all vehicles registered nationwide to protect people’s lives and property from accidents. All the vehicles should receive the inspection periodically after new vehicle registration.

 Vehicle owners who do not receive the inspections within the specified period will be subject to a fine for negligence. The fine for negligence is KRW 40,000 if you receive the inspection within 30 days from the expiration date, and additional of KRW 20,000 for every 3 days thereafter. Up to KRW 600,000 is imposed if you receive the inspection after 115 days.
