Subject Gangdong-gu establishes Landscape plan - First among autonomous districts in Seoul

The Gangdong-gu Landscape Plan Establishment Service, which was promoted by Gangdong-gu, Seoul (mayor Lee Jung hun), completed a year and a half of the task.
According to the district on the 29th, the "Landscape Plan" was established for the first time among Seoul's autonomous districts and was promoted to lay the foundation for the identity of Gangdong-gu and the future image of Gangdong-gu.
The Gangdong-gu Landscape Plan Establishment Service was carried out through tasks such as landscape status survey and analysis, basic landscape plan, and implementation plan. In particular, the Basic Landscape Plan prepared a management plan considering regional landscape resources and characteristics by dividing the district by region, and presented specific management plans by setting Cheonho/Seongnae and Gildong/Dunchon areas close to low-rise residential buildings.
In addition, the management plan of the "Landscape Axis" considering the connection with natural scenery and urban infrastructure such as green, waterfront, horizontal, and road shafts, and management plans in connection with station areas and historical and cultural resources were also presented.
In addition, specific implementation measures were prepared to secure the effectiveness of the landscape plan. A "scape guideline" was prepared for buildings, colors, night views, open spaces, and outdoor advertisements, and it is used for comprehensive inspections such as checking the application of the landscape guidelines by preparing a landscape checklist during landscape review/consultation.
Based on the types of landscape projects under Article 16 of the Landscape Act and Article 9 of the Gangdong-gu Landscape Ordinance, the Gangdong-gu Landscape Ordinance is also being revised to review and select projects that can be carried out as continuous projects.
Mayor Lee Jung hun, head of the district office, said, "We have prepared a strategic landscape plan to form a long-term urban landscape by analyzing pending issues in Gangdong-gu, including changes in landscape resources and urban conditions. We will do our best to improve the city's competitiveness."
