Gangdong-gu Operates 14th Climate Change Week to Celebrate Earth DayGangdong-gu District (District Mayor Lee Jung-hun) announced that it will run the 14th Climate Change Week for seven days until the 28th to mark the 52nd District Day on April 22.

Through various events during the climate change week, the district promoted the importance of responding to the climate crisis and formed a consensus on low-carbon living practices.
The Climate Crisis and Energy Photo Exhibition will be held in the open garden of Gangdong-gu Office. It plans to display a total of 20 pieces, including Local Rain, the 38th and 39th weather and climate photo exhibitions by the Korea Meteorological Administration, and Junk Art, which was selected through the Gangdong-gu residents' photo contest.

At 8 p.m. on the 22nd of Earth Day, it is expected to help improve residents' awareness of actively responding to the climate crisis by holding a 10-minute "happy light-off" event for the Earth and inducing participation in public buildings, shopping malls and large buildings in the region.

In addition, it will conduct online and offline campaigns to practice Earth Day. Campaigns such as blogs and Facebook can upload photos or videos of sharing or practicing energy saving know-how in real life to personal SNS along with essential hashtags (#EolssuDay, #EnergySaving, #GreenLifePractice, etc.).

In addition, during Climate Change Week, the company plans to launch a campaign to practice energy conservation in daily life with the energy conversion policy promotion team.

Lee Jung-hoon, head of Gangdong-gu District Office, said, "I hope that the event of the Climate Change Week will serve as an opportunity to think about the importance of the environment and participate in climate action for the planet even after the climate change week is over."
