Subject Gangdong-gu, Gangdong 01 Town Shuttle Bus Route Adjustment...New Owl Bus N34

Gangdong-gu (mayor Lee Jung hun) announced on April 22nd that it will adjust the "Gangdong 01" town shuttle bus route and make a new Owl Bus (late-night bus) "N34" for the convenience of local residents using public transportation.
First of all, "Gangdong 01" will be operated by the adjusted route from the first bus on the 23rd. The district explained that the route was adjusted to ease the inconvenience of residents using town shuttle buses such as Myeongil-dong, Gil-dong, and Dunchon-dong and to transfer conveniently to Veterans Medical Center Station on Subway Line 9.
"Gangdong 01" was originally operated from Gildong Sindonga Apartment (Shinmyeong Elementary School) to Gangbyeon Station. With this route adjustment, the starting point will be changed to Hanyang Apartment in Myeongil-dong and the bus passes through Daemyung Elementary School and Myeongil 2-dong Community Center, where there were no bus routes at all. The adjusted total mileage of "Gangdong 01" is about 19.3km, and the interval between bus operations is 8-10 minutes.
Meanwhile, the "N34" Owl Bus (late-night bus) will start its first operation at the Gangdong garage at 11:20 p.m. on May 1st.
The starting point is Gangdong Public Garage, and the ending point is Sinsa Station in Gangnam-gu. The main stops in the jurisdiction are Sangil-dong Station, Godeok Station, Amsa Station, Cheonho Station, Gangdong-gu Office Station. The bus also stops at major points in Gangnam area including Jamsil Station, Samseong Station, and Yeoksam Station and turns back at Sinsa Station. The interval between buses is 35 to 40 minutes, and the last operation time is 3:50 a.m.
An official from the district explained, "Currently, there is only one Owl Bus (night-time bus) "N30" that which passes through major hubs in Gangdong and Gangbuk and turns at Seoul Station but the additional line "N34" will operate major hubs in Gangdong and Gangnam, which will greatly improve the convenience of residents using public transportation late at night."
In order to improve public transportation for local residents, the district has continuously communicated with residents and continued to suggest and to discuss related plans such as route adjustment to the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
Mayor Lee Jung hun said, "We will do our best to ensure that residents will not have any inconvenience in using public transportation by making additional bus routes and adjusting existing routes to meet the demand for public transportation according to major development projects such as Godeok Biz Valley."
