Subject Gangdong-gu Office Women's Table Tennis Team Wins Bronze Medal at National Championships

The women's table tennis team of Gangdong-gu Office in Seoul, which marks its third year since its foundation, won a bronze medal at this year's National Table Tennis Championships.
Gangdong-gu announced on the 11th that the Gangdong-gu team finished third in the women's general division individual doubles at the 68th National Men's and Women's Table Tennis Championships. 843 athletes from 147 teams from all over the country participated in the competition held at Gwangju Women's University Universiade Gymnasium from the 31st of last month to the 6th. Kim Min-kyung and Park Hae-rim, the women's table tennis team of Gangdong-gu Office, beat Daejeon Facilities Management Corporation, POSCO Energy, and Samsung Life Insurance to advance to the semifinals of the tournament.
Founded in January 2020, the Gangdong-gu Office Women's Table Tennis Team consists of coach Kim Young-oh, Kim Min-kyung, Park Ji-eun, Nam Yoon-jung, Lee Ga-yeon, Kang Ha-eun, and Park Hae-rim, led by Shim Je-joo. In the long-term business table tennis tournament held last year, she finished second in women's doubles and third in the women's team competition. In the spring long-term business table tennis tournament, she also ranked third in women's doubles and third in women's team competitions.
Mayor Lee Jung hun, said, "The women's table tennis team was able to win a medal in the national competition thanks to the sweaty efforts of the leaders and players and the attention of the residents.“
It is truly gratifying that the team which has been only three years made a great consequence and all the residents hope them to accomplish their bigger goals.
