Gangdong-gu District (mayor Lee Jung hun) announced that it will run a "2022 Life Cycle Customized Lifelong Learning Program" that provides lifelong learning opportunities for children and senior citizens aged 70 or older for about 12 weeks until July. This program consists of customized education that reflects the needs of various age groups, multicultural families, and parents with slow learner children according to the population change and life cycle model of Gangdong-gu. The education consists of a total of seven programs, and a total of 170 students, 15 to 30 for each course, are recruited on a first-come, first-served basis. However, it may be changed in the training schedule and operation according to the COVID-19 situation. To help multicultural families with children improve their understanding of Korean food, the Multicultural Family's Korean Cooking Class, which provides opportunities for teenagers to learn the rights and duties of democratic citizens through board games, and the Metabus Introduction Course (online) program where young people in their 20s and 30s can meet a new paradigm of non-face-to-face and digital society. In addition, there will be "Slow Learner Parent Education" for parents in their 40s and 50s to improve their relationship with their children and "Online Used Transaction Education" for healthy cooperative consumption, "Saju Myeongri Basic Course" for late 60s and older, and "Smartphone Media Education" to strengthen their digital capabilities.
