Superbin (CEO Jeong-bin Kim), who has robot technology in the field of resource recycling, announced on the 4th that it had signed a business agreement with Gangdong-gu Office for a recycling resource face-to-face recovery project.

With this business agreement, Superbin will promote recycling collection, transportation, and materialization business together by applying robot technology that sorts waste, such as artificial intelligence (AI), to the climate crisis response and circular economy implementation project promoted by Gangdong-gu Office, and enables citizens to participate. Various climate crisis response campaigns and educational activities are carried out.

Citizens of Gangdong-gu can collect circulating resources and receive rewards, and in this process, it is expected that various data and digital information systems will be built to contribute to the introduction of the government's resource circulation system and carbon emission reduction activities.

In Gangdong-gu, in addition to the services based on the currently operating artificial intelligence (AI) circulating resource recovery robot (hereinafter referred to as 'Nefron'), a new participating business that can expand the recycling items to be collected, such as the face-to-face collection service (SuperMoa) and the drop station, will be introduced. do. To this end, Gangdong-gu Office provides the space necessary for the project and a site to load the recovery resources, and supports publicity to encourage the participation of residents.

Gangdong-gu mayor Lee Jung hun said, “The district expects that this MOU will help to realize a carbon-neutral society through this business agreement for the recovery of recycled resources. Superbin Vice President Kim Eung-sik responded with the will, “Superbin will also play a role together so that the various resource recycling projects promoted by Gangdong-gu Office can achieve more than their goals and become a model for many local governments.”

Superbin received the first Presidential Citation at the Social Economy Expo last year after a social venture established a legal basis. In May of this year, an artificial intelligence-based smart factory will be built in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do to complete a circular economy that processes waste plastics into high-quality industrial materials.
