Subject Gangdong-gu Establishes Education Portal, Gangdong Mirae-On

Gangdong-gu, Seoul (mayor Lee Jung hun) has announced on March 3rd that it is providing various online education services by establishing "Gangdong Mirae-On", an integrated education portal that reflects the future education paradigm.
"Gangdong Mirae-On" is an integrated education platform that allows elementary, middle, and high school students and their parents to access educational content such as career information, admission information, curriculum learning, and counseling at any time and place. Information about entering major universities in Seoul, junior colleges, and high schools are available in the portal. Also, contents about major classes and information about college life by seniors who are attending universities are also worth noting for middle and high school students who are contemplating on their career choice.
In addition, anyone can take interactive video classes by public education experts for free just by signing up as a member. After the class, lecture contents are posted on the site and can be viewed repeatedly at any time.
Moreover, the district will introduce a new content of "DKDK New Year" for the new semester in March. Current teachers and senior mentors provide information for students and parents who have a lot of worries ahead of their new school life. The contents are divided into lower grades and senior grades of elementary, middle and high school students and parents, and contain contents that students must know before starting new semesters.
"We have established 'Gangdong Mirae-On', an integrated education platform, to cope with the rapidly changing future education situation due to COVID-19," said mayor Lee Jung hun, head of the district office. "We will do our best to establish a sustainable future education system so that all students can receive impartial quality education."
