Subject | Special Lecture “Smart Campus” Held in Gangdong-gu | ||
Gangdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Jung hun) prepared a special lecture “Smart Campus” at 2 p.m. on the 14th December to mark the great transition of post-COVID-19 future education. Paul Kim, vice president of Stanford University in the U.S., who was invited as an instructor for this special lecture, gave a special lecture to parents on the theme of the 4th Industrial Revolution and children's education. In preparation for the accelerated 4th Industrial Revolution, we explored children's careers and had a talk about future education directions. Along with this, an online special lecture was held for teachers under the theme of New Normal of Education on the 16th, and another special lecture was given for students under the theme of Questions to Change Life on the 17th. The special lectures were held online through the (tentative name) Gangdong Integrated Education Portal, which officially opened on the 14th this month, and not only Gangdong-gu residents but also residents from other regions could participate. Gangdong-gu held Gangdong Smart Campus in May this year to bridge the education gap between regions due to COVID-19, providing high-quality major and career education content to students all over the country, and Professor Paul Kim's special lecture completed the 2021 Smart Campus schedule which consisted of 10 lectures. “I hope this special lecture will be a useful time for teachers, parents, and students who are thinking about future education”, said Major Lee Jung hun of Gangdong-gu. " In the future, we will do our best to provide new educational programs through smart campuses that go beyond time and space constraints so that all students can enjoy the happiness of education.” |
