The library policy of Gangdong-gu, Seoul, which connects residents and residents through books and cars, has been recognized externally. Gangdong-gu announced on the 2nd of December that it won the grand prize at the 2021 Korea Library Hanmadang held at the National Library of Korea. The Presidential Library Information Policy Committee holds an annual Library Policy Best Practices and Promotion Video Contest to discover and award policies that have contributed to the development of libraries. Gangdong-gu applied for the best case field with "Book Cafe Library Dadok Dadok". It received the highest score among the participating organizations through the first expert evaluation and the second public vote. The district was highly praised as an example of leading the innovation of space and revitalization of local communities by promoting projects in line with the four strategies of the National Library Development Plan. Book Cafe Library Dadok Dadok with Gangdong, a "city of books," is a complex cultural space in front of my house through books and tea, and is a representative result of "Gangdong-type spatial welfare. It is not a quiet and solemn space, but differentiated so that you can communicate with your neighbors and relax freely. It is possible to operate a variety of programs for residents and operate village community gatherings. After opening its first store at Gildong Intersection in September last year, residents enjoy visiting the fourth store. At the end of last month, it opened its fifth Dadok Dadok branch in Amsa-dong Amsa General Market. The reading space was divided into a lounge and a private space so that books could be accessed comfortably according to each person's taste, and a shared kitchen and multi-purpose room for communication was arranged. Located on the top floor of the building, the terrace is expected to be a healing space for residents tired of busy urban life. Lee Jung-hun, head of Gangdong-gu District Office, said, "Book Cafe Library Dadok Dadok is a space innovation project that began with the idea of 'people change when space changes,' adding, "We will thoroughly expand space welfare from book cafe libraries to small libraries to create a city where books can be shared in everyday life." |
