Subject Opening of a shiny, Gangdong, 50 plus for Life Act 2 Center.

I'm already 60 years old because I've been working nonstop raising my children. The time has come to live alone without time to prepare after retirement, but I don't know how to live.

Gangdong-gu (mayor Lee Jung hun) opened the Gangdong 50 Plus Center with the vision of "happy middle-aged life, stable preparation for old age" to support the lives of the elderly in the second half of their lives.

Poet Yong Hye-won also gave a special lecture to mark the opening of the Gangdong 50 Plus Center on the 11th under the theme of "Good Person to Be Together" with many people attending the opening ceremony to announce the official start of operation of the Gangdong 50 Plus Center.

Gangdong 50 Plus Center (Gangdong-gu Olympic-ro 752) has a total floor area of 2,783㎡ and two basement floors/six ground floors, the largest among 11 50 Plus Centers in Seoul, and is located within three minutes of walking from Amsa Station to increase accessibility to residents.

The first basement floor consists of a large auditorium for lectures and performances, and a multi-purpose room for various arts and sports activities, and the first floor has a counseling center and a senior cafe for various purposes. On the second floor, there is a studio where video content can be produced and a computer room where informatization practice is possible, and on the fourth floor, there is a lecture room where you can take various courses from leisure to employment. On the fifth floor, there is also a community room where you can gather and engage in community activities along with a shared office to support the start-ups and creation of 50+ generations. In addition, there are also spaces in the building that can encompass various generations.

In particular, Gangdong 50 Plus Center is also the only directly managed place among the 50 Plus Center in Seoul to promote Gangdong-gu's consistent policies for the elderly. This is because securing the publicity of policies for the elderly is the most urgent task at a time when retirement is accelerating while the average life expectancy is increasing.

Mayor Lee Jung hun, who attended the opening ceremony on this day, said, "We will spare no support for the second half of Gangdong-gu's 50+ generation's heart beating life," adding, "We will actively develop various programs for the 50+ generation."

Meanwhile, the Gangdong 50 Plus Center, which began operation in October, operates more than 30 various programs, including the Gangdong Pumasi Activity Group and 50+ Autobiography Writing, and has established itself as a complex cultural hub for the 50+ generation in Gangdong-gu, with all courses closed at the same time of recruitment.
