On the 26th, Catenoid Co., Ltd., a company specializing in video solutions, announced that it would provide the 'Smart Campus Online Lecture' service of Gangdong-gu Office. Previously, Gangdong-gu Office has been conducting a project to provide real-time lectures for high school students nationwide to improve public education and to bridge the educational gap among the underprivileged in education. Smart Campus Online Lecture is a service that broadcasts live broadcasts of invited celebrities (university professors, business experts) using the high school broadcasting room facilities in Gangdong-gu and streams them in real time to an online platform. It is important to establish a streaming environment where multiple students can access and watch at the same time and a stable studio transmission environment. Catenoid provides a live streaming service through an HTML5 video player that can be viewed on a variety of devices. In addition, it supports a web page for smooth access and viewing by students applying for lectures and viewing data for understanding the progress rate of individual students. This service was applied to the first live lecture in May after preliminary and pilot tests. The fourth lecture is also being prepared next month. An official from Gangdong-gu Office explained, "In order to minimize the buffering and smooth streaming of viewers, we have chosen the Kollus video streaming solution from Catenoid."
