Gangdong-gu, Seoul, announced on the 26th that 'Children's Honey Bee Experience School' will be held in the 'Neighborhood Park' from the 27th during summer vacation. Honey Bee is an important creature that helps 70% of the world's major crops' growth, but people often shrink away from it and perceive it as a fearful insect because of its poisonous sting. Gangdong-gu decided to hold the event in order to make children be familiar with honey bees through the process of obtaining honey, and to show the importance of living creatures and the urban ecosystem. The beekeeping instructors will tell young beekeepers about the life cycle of honey bees in an easy and fun way so that they can be much more familiar with them, and will also provide beekeeping experience such as opening the beehive and touching bees while wearing protective clothes safely. In addition, children who have done various activities in honey bee experience school will get honey which they have collected on their own as a reward (150ml). If you taste the sweetness of natural honey, you will want to remember the meeting with honey bees and the preciousness of nature. The Bee Experience School will be started on the 27th of this month and held five times until the 10th of next month.
