Subject The hidden hide spot in Gangdong-gu to spend your ideal summer

The Zoo
Summer is a fun time for students especially because they don’t have to go to school, but it’s a tough time for parents because they have to worry where to take their children, who are looking forward to an entertaining vacation. So here is the solution to where to spend this summer.
The ideal hide out for summer is somewhere you can hide from the sun and chill. Then is there a better place than a room, indoors with air-conditioning to spend your summer? In other words did you know there was a zoo in your neighborhood?
This small zoo is surprisingly inside a building. Located in the second floor of Hwajeong Bldg., Seongnae-dong, Gangdong-gu, it is the home to 50 unique species of animals from around the world.
‘The Zoo’ wouldn’t be special if it had the same monkeys or parrots that every zoo has. However, if this zoo is the home to the world’s largest tortoise and the world’s smallest chameleon this would be a whole new story. ‘The Zoo’ is closer to an ‘animal museum’ than a ‘zoo’. It is a place where you can meet and communicate with the world’s rarest animals. The motto of this institution is to teach people how to live together with animals. This is done by removing the bars between the animals and people but instead using transparent windows to build a stronger bond with two different species. In this zoo you can specially meet the Hyacinth Macaw; a rare parrot which can crack a hard peach seed at once, the Binturong; a furry mammal that smells like buttered popcorn, and the gigantic Aldabra Giant Tortoise, and much more rare species. Adults who accompany their children can enjoy this little hide spot as well
